Leadership Support Program
The Leadership Support Program (LSP) is a Commission-Approved Professional Preparation Program for the Clear Administrative Services Credential (Tier II) and Induction program designed to build on the work that candidates complete in the Principal Leadership Institute (PLI). The LSP is a vital support to new administrators who are managing the complex ecology of the urban school and district. These new administrators are reform-minded leaders who, first and foremost, commit to improving the quality of achievement for all students. Through the LSP components (detailed below), novice administrators expand and deepen their expertise in the knowledge, skills and dispositions required for successful leadership in urban schools.
Candidates who are interested in enrolling in LSP but are not PLI alumni should contact us.
The LSP offers a comprehensive and cohesive program for frontline novice administrators to connect their practice to theory in these ways: using reflection for growth and development, collecting data at the school site, individualizing the program to meet the needs of adult learners, continuing and targeted professional development, and honing skills in site-based inquiry and data-driven decision-making.
