avita L. Seeratan's research interests are focused on:
a) cognitive development and learning;
b) design, development, implementation, and empirical validation of alternative assessment, instructional, and remedial applications, models, or methodologies, rooted in research from applied cognitive science, developmental psychology, and education;
c) developing research-based accommodations for federal and state- wide assessment systems in support of the 'No Child Left Behind' Initiative;
d) typical and atypical learning and development.
