work is funded by the San Francisco School Alliance, a public education
fund. The other partners in the Alliance include Partners in School
Innovation and Just For The Kids.
The development effort was coordinated by PLI's Lynda Tredway and
Janette Hernandez who worked alongside district assistant superintendents.
PLI graduate and retired principal Margo Fontes, faculty member Bob
Polkinghorn, UC Berkeley alumna Erika Nielsen Andrew, doctoral candidate
Betty Pazmino and 13 UC Berkeley coaches facilitated small inquiry-based
groups for elementary and secondary principals and assistant principals.
The professional development work will continue in 2007-08.
