Mexican Educators Attend GSE Workshop

On May 9, 2007 a group of teachers and students from the Escuela Normal del Estado de Chihuahua, one of the oldest schools of education in that Mexican state, attended a workshop at the GSE during their weeklong visit to the Bay Area. The students were being hosted by the Bay Area Hispano Institue (BAHIA) of Berkeley, a long-time community education center in the city. Professor Patricia Baquedano-López, Ariana Mangual and Gabino Arredondo of LLSC led the workshop on immigration and language education.
