The Graduate School of Education can only continue its tradition of innovation and outreach by recruiting and supporting world-class faculty. From researching optimal methods of teaching math, science, and reading to learners from diverse backgrounds, to grappling with issues in school reform and finance, GSE faculty are at the forefront of educational practice, research, and policy. Your investment in faculty excellence will enable these exemplary scholars to continue solving society’s most critical problems in the field of education, while also allowing the Graduate School of Education to provide compensation and research support that is competitive with that of our private peers.
Opportunities to give
$5,000,000+ Chancellor’s Endowed Chair
Provides faculty salary support, as well as funds for research and teaching, for a tenured faculty member who is internationally renowned in his or her field.
$3,000,000 Distinguished Endowed Chair
Provides faculty salary support, as well as funds for research and teaching, for a tenured faculty member whose work spans multiple disciplines. (For a limited period, a $1.5 million gift will be matched by the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation to create a $3 million Distinguished Endowed Chair.)
$2,000,000 Endowed Chair
Provides faculty salary support, as well as funds for research and teaching, for a tenured faculty member. (For a limited period, a $1 million gift will be matched by the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation to create a $2 million Endowed Chair.)
$500,000 Faculty Excellence Endowed Fund
Provides important financial incentives for recruiting and retaining preeminent faculty, with allocations made at the discretion of the Dean.
With your gift of $500,000 or more, you may establish an educational legacy in your name, or in honor of a professor, colleague, mentor, or loved one. The principal of an endowment is held intact in perpetuity and invested for growth to provide a steady flow of income to support your designated purpose.
